Smoothies are such a great way to start off a summer morning or enjoy a healthy snack on a hot afternoon. I don’t make smoothies that often, but sometimes they simply hit the spot when I want something light but satisfying.
There are so many yummy smoothie possibilities, but in the summer I think it’s fun to use refreshing tropical fruits. I love most of them, but pineapple is my favorite.
When I was younger, most of my experience with pineapple involved the canned variety. I still remember the first time I tried some fresh pineapple. Mind. Blown. Such a night and day difference! Fresh pineapple is so naturally sweet!
Pineapple seems to pair naturally with coconut, so I thought it would be fun to make a piña colada smoothie. I hope you enjoy it!
- Combine all ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
