Pumpkin may seem a little overdone this time of year, but I’ll admit it: I’m one of those crazy pumpkin fanatics. I won’t put pumpkin in everything — but I’ll certainly try it in a whole lot of things!
Smoothies are such a great way to start off a summer morning or enjoy a healthy snack on a hot afternoon. I don’t make smoothies that often, but sometimes they simply hit the spot when I want something light but satisfying.
We’re definitely settling into summer here in East Tennessee, even though it’s not technically here yet. We’ve had several days straight of 90+ degree temperatures and paired with the humidity in this area — it’s HOT!

Summer is almost here! In fact, it already feels like it here in East Tennessee. We’ve hit 90 degrees twice in the past week and it looks like we’ll stay in the upper 80s and low 90s for the next week.
Before I started eating a real-food focused diet, the extent of my experience with nut butter primarily centered around peanut butter. I’d occasionally had some almond butter, but generally stuck to and preferred the peanut.
